These partners are at the heart of the network’s scientific activities – in other words, the EBP life cycle.

This cycle consists of units that each correspond to a stage of a scientific process that promotes, monitors and incorporates the EBP approach into daily practice.

Each unit is coordinated by a key partner – which may or may not be involved with others to share expertise and knowledge.

Core partners meet monthly to maintain ongoing collaboration and the production of high-quality, up-to-date scientific information. 


The members of the network’s Federal Steering Board represent federal government bodies. They fund Evikey's activities. 

These are the organisations representing users – health care providers and patients – actively involved in Evikey network activities via the Advisory Board.

Cebam&rsquo;s digital library supplies Belgian health care providers with high-quality sources of information.
It provides access to point-of-care sources (DynaMed, ebpracticenet, Nursing Reference Center Plus), national guidelines and international journals, systematic reviews (Cochrane Library, JBI), article reviews, pharmaceutical information (BCFI, Micromedex), bibliographic databases, etc.
The CDLH has set up the Cebam Evidence Linker, ensuring the inclusion of point-of-care information in the electronic medical record for general practitioners and physiotherapists.

Cebam is an independent, inter-university and multidisciplinary medical scientific body for health care providers, patients and citizens.
Within the Evikey network, it ensures the scientific coordination of the EBP validation and assessment units of the EBP life cycle.
Cebam organises training on EBP for health care providers to raise their awareness of its use.
All information validated by Cebam bears its seal of quality.

ebpracticenet is the EBP dissemination platform for Belgian health care providers. It contains validated (clinical) guidelines, as well as other EBP information, in a point-of-care format through which the health care provider can quickly navigate. It may also contain links to other relevant sources.
ebpracticenet collaborates with healthcare professionals to put EBP information from other countries into the Belgian context.
The website offers free access to all health care providers and Belgian citizens.
ebpracticenet also promotes the practical implementation of EBP.

The KCE is an independent research centre that provides scientific advice on topics related to health care.
Its mission is to conduct rigorous and objective analyses and studies on which public authorities or health care providers can base their decisions about health care and health insurance.

Minerva is an Evidence-Based Practice magazine whose aim is the promotion and dissemination of independent scientific information.
It provides frontline health care professionals with a critical analysis of international literature publications.
